For many years I have been involved with the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Print and Picture Collection, a wonderful public collection of fine art prints and photographs comprised of works, mainly, by area artists. Each year, we honor the longtime curator of this collection, Robert Looney and hold an educational talk, exhibition, and fundraiser in his honor.

This year, we are highlighting the art of etching  by featuring a panel discussion called Intaglio A Go Go, Etchings Move Forward. In addition, there will be an exhibition curated by Ron Rumford featuring a selection of some the finest contemporary intaglio artists that will be on display for several months in the library. Following the panel discussion will be our annual fundraising event (invitation attached) that includes a silent auction of works by the artists featured in the exhibition.

If you can partake in any part of this event, we hope you will as it will be truly educational and enjoyable. The panel discussion and exhibition are free and open the public, and the fundraiser is very reasonably priced offering several price levels to attend. We hope you
will join us.

Please feel free to forward this email to those you think would be interested and thank you for supporting the Free Library of Philadelphia.
